# JEMS & LORE

For the story hungry folks among us.

The core story telling mechanism in the Multiverse is conversation and lore. Lore can range from informative pieces about the game, to fragments of larger stories.

In order to mint lore, you must first find **JEMS**. JEMS are ERC20 tokens that each user can in predetermined locations and quantities. For each JEM, there will be a nearby **Lore NFT.** Lore NFTs are ERC 1155 tokens, meaning they are not unique. Every Intelligence Lore (LoreId = 0) is indistinguishable from one another.&#x20;

Minting lore is optional.

Minting the JEMS is required to progress through the story, and access **Pubs**.
